Barrel twist

Barrel twist (or twist rate) describes how fast the rifling spins the bullet, usually expressed as one turn in so many inches (e.g. 1:7 means one full rotation in 7 inches). Faster twist rates stabilize heavier or longer bullets; slower twists suit lighter bullets. Choosing the wrong twist can hurt accuracy.
