Decocker

Also known as: Decocking Lever. A mechanical lever found primarily on Double-Action/Single-Action (DA/SA) pistols. Actuating the decocker safely drops the hammer from a cocked, single-action position to a resting, double-action position without discharging the firearm, usually by interposing a physical block between the hammer and the firing pin.
