Magwell

Also known as: Magazine Well. The opening at the bottom of the pistol grip (or the lower receiver of a rifle) where the magazine is inserted. Competition and tactical handguns often feature a 'flared magwell,' which is a funnel-like attachment designed to guide the magazine in smoothly for faster, fumble-free reloads under stress.
