Parallax

Also known as: Parallax Error. The apparent shift in the reticle's position relative to the target when the shooter's eye moves off-center from the optical axis. This optical phenomenon can lead to aiming errors, especially at longer distances, if not corrected by a parallax adjustment mechanism.
