Rifle

A rifle is a long-barreled firearm designed to be fired from the shoulder, with a barrel that has a helical pattern of grooves (rifling) cut into the bore wall. The rifling imparts spin to the projectile, stabilizing it in flight and improving accuracy. Rifles are used in hunting, sport shooting, and military and law enforcement applications.
