Ring Lapping

Also known as: Scope Ring Lapping. A process of using a specialized tool to precisely grind the inside surfaces of scope rings to ensure perfect alignment and a uniform, stress-free contact with the scope's main tube. This prevents bending or damaging the scope tube due to uneven pressure.
